Thanksgiving dinner isn't the same without a homemade cranberry sauce. It's easy and will have all of your guests asking for more.
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1 cup (255 mL) water
4 cups (1 12-oz package) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 tsp of brandy
In a saucepan bring water to a boil, add sugar and stir to disolve Add cranberries, return to a boil. Reduce heat, add brandy simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst.
Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Enjoy
