For the last ten years I made delicious biscotti's when I entertained at home. Every time they proved to be a great success. This is my grandma's recipe that I'm happy to share with you.
My grandma’s recipe calls for 2 sticks of butter and a half cup of oil, trying to keep my kids in shape without sacrificing the taste, I was able to cut down on fat.
This recipe is easy to follow and has only one secret. When you turn off the oven, don’t take out the biscotti’s, instead cut them diagonal and separate them between themselves leaving them in the oven to dry for at least an hour. They are than ready to serve.
Mix
3 cups of flower
3/4 cup of sugar
3 egg yolks
1 cup of chopped up almonds
1 stick of butter (either salted or unsalted)
2 tbsp of oil
Place the dough on a cookie sheet and flatten into a square. Place in the hot oven at 350 for about 50 minutes to an hour. Cut up and leave in the oven to dry.
Enjoy
YUMMY!
I think I’ll start to cook now, it seems easy for a non-cook!
Thank you.
