And us Americans think the world is going to end over $4 gas... If only we lived in Europe (or even Canada).

i am from kuwait – there is only 2 companies that provide gas in Kuwait
1 government owned and 1 private and the price is the same for both, the price is controlled by the government

    PREMIUM BRAND
    (.050 fils = a liter)
    (aprox. .175 fils per gallon)

    .175 fils = $0.65
    PRIVATE BRAND
    (.060 fils = a liter)
    (aprox. .210 fils per gallon)

    .210 fils = $0.78

I’m unsure how these are expressed.

Since the US isent listed you’d think they werent in USD/Gallon…. but cant see how it could be anything else.

But if thats the case it might be incorrect.
I’m from Belgium and Gas is 1.482euro/liter here atm.

    if I’m not mistaken thats:

    1.482 * 1.54(1) * 3.785(2) = 8.63$/gallon

(1: Euro to dollar 2: Liter to gallon)

Article writer might have been using old prices or i cant do math, maybe both :p

Current prices in the UK are in excess of £1 per litre
that equates to $9 per imperial gallon

We‘re paying around 13 NOK per litre here in Norway, that’s about 9.30$US per US gallon. More for the imperial gallon. The price generally fluctuates depending on the day of the week and according to some complex algorithm the government made up, but the price hasn’t really changed in a while. However, the value of the US dollar certainly has. I feel sorry for any Yanks coming to visit!

PS: Norway has its own oil so it isn’t dependent on foreign petrol.
