Hey everyone….I am having a hard time with body image and I need some advise….please visit my blog for more info….at http://www.24stepstogo.blogspot.com/ ...thanks guys you are the best!
Hi Mara
You may want to look online for a site that sells bathing suits for plus size ladies. I’m sure there are some cute things that are comfortable for your swimming regime. As far as going to the gym during busy times, my thought is that if you go regularly and other gym members see your consistency and progress you will be developing your own fan club. I bet you’ll be encouraged and supported because, after all, aren’t we all there for the same reason really? This could end up being a very caring and nurturing experience which will only serve to keep you motivated toward your ultimate goal. All the best to you!

Thanks Cynthia: I have been looking online for a good suit but my legs are what bother me the most. I am going out this weekend determined to find something I can be comfortable in and be proud of who I am. I agree about the gym but sometimes a lot people are only there to hook up and make fun of the others (I have heard and seen them do it) there working on the same goal. It is sad but true. I just need to get over my shyness and tell my head it is ok and I can meet my goal. Thanks for the support I greatly appreciate it.
Dear Mara-
Do you go to afitness club with males and females? I dont know if they have curves or fitness lady? It’s hard to concentrate when guys are ogling or making remarks. I have put on some weight (30 lbs in 6 months) and my clothes have gone up 3 sizes. I believe part of its age, having a hysterectomy, my husband and I were having some marital troubles, and my mom has terminal lung and brain cancer,(oh yeah, and my daughter is expecting.) I stay at home, and I think I developed depression because of all this stuff. So I probably didnt even realize I was feeding my sweet tooth. REading your blogs inspired me, and I have been trying to make little life changes, so I can feel better. Thanks for your encouragement. ~jennadahhling
Honey as far down in the crapper as my self esteem is, I don’t think I would be very helpful. I did visit your blog yesterday and you seem to be on the right track from what I saw. Just keep working toward achieving your goals and moving forward.
