Hi Everyone,

I have had the good fortune to have some interesting positions; but they were always sink or swim positions because I never really had the training or background for some of them.  Along the way, what I have found is that we still don't, as women, help each other out in the business world.  Sometimes, we deliberately undermine and hurt each other because we feel threatened that the other person is better, younger, or has more influence.  I probably have felt these feelings once or twice also, but  I think we need to take those younger or newer in a position and help mentor them in positions because we were there at one time or we are there now wishing that someone would lend a helping hand now.  Just my thoughts based on some of the places I have worked.  Others may have had totally different experiences, and my experiences may be due in part to the fact that I have lived in rural communities where jobs are not plentiful and people are very protective of there positions.
