Like many Sandwiched Boomers we, Phyllis Goldberg, Ph.D. and Rosemary Lichtman, Ph.D., are quintessential caregivers, having raised children, assisted in the care of aging parents and grandchildren and worked in service to others. For over 20 years, we have guided women through personal and family transitions in our psychotherapy practices.
In 2000, we partnered to create www.HerMentorCenter.com, providing information for midlife women and publishing a free monthly newsletter, "Stepping Stones." We have developed workshops and conducted personal interviews with women, examining their emotional reactions to family problems. Our book, "Sandwiched Boomers: How to Nourish Relationships without Starving Yourself," builds on our expertise and passion to be of service. It will be published in the summer of 2008. Our blog, Nourishing Relationships , provides a community where readers can discuss issues about their family in flux.
Phyllis Goldberg, Ph.D. & Rosemary Lichtman, Ph.D. are co-founders of Her Mentor Center , a website for midlife women and Nourishing Relationships , a Blog for the Sandwich Generation. They are authors of a forthcoming book about Baby Boomers’ family relationships and publish a free newsletter, Stepping Stones, through their website. As psychotherapists, they have over 40 years of collective private practice experience.
