I was born and raised in Alaska, but since I moved to Utah several years ago I’ve become a true city girl at heart. I live in Salt Lake City with my husband Daryl, and our children, enjoying the diverse culture, nearby mountains, and rich history. I still have a hard time believing I can have a peach tree growing in the backyard and a rose garden in the front, but must admit, nothing can replace the fresh salmon and halibut I enjoyed in Alaska.
I consider myself first and foremost a wife, and full-time mother and spending time with my family is one of my favorite things to do. I’m actively involved in my church working extensively with women in teaching them how to strengthen their relationship with God, their families, and the communities in which they live.
My life-long passion for books and desire to help others expanded to writing. I’m a contributing writer for Utah’s Wasatch Woman Magazine and my first book, Torn Apart, based on a true story about pornography addiction and finding hope was released the middle of July.

Hi Leanne,
I’m great, thanks for asking. I had a very nice Thanksgiving—it was wonderful to have all my children there, especially the oldest three who live on their own.
I’ve recently found out I’m a Grandma. My oldest found out he is a dad and has been for over a year. Long story! Not the way I was expecting to get that kind of exciting news, however my grandson is adorable. He and his mom are moving to Salt Lake in a few weeks (from Alaska) and my son has moved back permanently from St. Thomas. Every cloud truly does have a silver lining.
How is your family?

Hey Leann,
I’m good, just been busy with school starting and getting the kids settled. My parents are arriving next week from Alaska and I’m trying to do extra cleaning around the house, too. Nothing too exciting, however.
How about you?
Hi Diony,
How are you? I haven’t seen you on the site in awhile. Hope you are well. Leeann
Really. I have five—22,20,15,13 and 11. Also two girls,19 and six. The three oldest are out on their own, two in college. My daughter started first grade today, I’m so excited to have them all in school all day! A long awaited new stage in motherhood. :)
