What does it mean to be happy in your opinion?

        • Hmmm…. Happiness is only found in “happenings” and I don’t live my life that way…I try to live joyfully since joy isn’t found in temporary happenings.

          Good question!

        • Here’s part of my “happiness” list:

•Happiness is my 88-year old grandma who always makes me laugh. Recently she told me (and meant it from the heart), “You look great, you got fat, I’m so proud of you.”

•Happiness is my grandpa, who got married last month – at age 94! When I asked how his sex life is, he replied, “I can’t and she won’t.”

•Happiness is my niece & nephew, who come over to visit so they can be with their cousins.

•Happiness is my parents, who, after so many years of marriage are still holding hands like two teenagers in love.

•Happiness is my wonderful children, who express their love and show their appreciation when they hug and kiss me.

•Happiness is my darling husband, who worries about our family and often surprises me with unexpected getaways.

•Happiness is being active, feeling great and staying fit.

Each day, my list continues to grow. And as I write this, so does the happy feeling inside me.

The pursuit of happiness is a life-long quest, so never give up on it. And when you achieve happiness, never take it for granted.

        • To me it means wanting to come home.

Being in a bad relationship half of my life, I always dreaded to come home, now I have a man in my life that cares for me and I can’t wait to get home every night.

        • Happiness can be elusive…but it is always in the small things for me.

When my husband says thanks for making him lunch or breakfast or compliments me on the meal…that always makes me smile.

When my son gives me a hug for no reason…that makes me happy.

When I walk through the door and my dogs are there waiting and their tails are wagging…just happy as can be to see me…me!! The person who isn’t always nice to them!!!  but they are always happy to see me!! Imagine that.

When I’m on a beach, with the wind on my face and a book in my hands…that is happiness (not too much wind and not too much sun…just a nice day at the beach)...by myself…and sometimes with my husband and son…but mostly by myself.

          Hearing from an old friend.

Sitting in the backyard, on my patio, with my husband, talking about our day.

Yep, it is the small things!

        • My happiness is watching my kids grow in every aspect of their lives along with the hugs and I love yous whenever we see each other.

It is watching my husband work to improve our home.  The way he looks at me when he says I Love You and knowing that I am for the first time in my life truly loved.  His love is the greatest I have known.  Then at the end of the day laying in his arms as we both drift off to sleep after discussing our day.

It is inviting my mother to having dinner with me and my family.

But most of all, it is finally be proud of the person I am and the ability of love myself with all my imperfections.

        • I find happiness or joy in just about everything these days.  When a sour moment happens, I try to remember that in my quest for balance and harmony, there HAVE to be sour moments.  They make the happy moments that much more joyful.

Here are a few joyous things.
The sound of my granddaughter’s voice.
The sound of “I love You” uttered to me by anyone in my life.
The view of my garden in my back yard with it’s abundance growing right before my eyes.
The smell of the roses that continue to bloom in both my front and back yards.
The sound of the door opening when my man comes home.
The sound of his breath while he sleeps next to me.
The laughter of friends as we sit around and talk about anything and everything.
The smell of bacon frying (yeah I know NOT healthy LOL)
          The smell of fresh raspberries.
The words “Thank YOU” when a clients leaves my place of massage.
          My list is virtually endless…
