I loved this movie when it came out in 1991, but haven't seen it in a while. It was on HBO the other night in hi-def and I have to say it's just such a great movie, now more than ever. Jessica Tandy and Cathy Bates - hard to beat that combo. I still can't figure out if Miss Threadbare and Idgi are the same person or not ... it's just so unclear... anyone know?

I was not sure either but I like to think they are the same person. This is one of my all time favorites.

I saw this 3x years ago. I loved this movie so much. I will have to watch it again…from memory I think it she was one in the same? Not sure!!
What a great movie it was, though!!

I think they were one and the same! I loved the honey on the grave and the smile on Jessica Tandy’s face confirmed it for me! I watch this flick like every few months!
