Hi everyone! I’m new here and could use some help. I just recently started my own business after many years of trying how to figure out how I can stay at home with my family and still contribute. I currently still work full time because I need my business to take off. Then and only then can I leave my 9–5 and do what I love to do.
OK – so I just started a Virtual Assistant business (Virtual Response Consulting). What we do is provide administrative services from home. I have over 18 years of experience in all levels and also have a paralegal certification. I have tried mailings, callings, responding to ads and I have had no luck whatsoever. I belong to Virtual Assistant forums where they are very successful but I just can’t seem to get that first client. Alot of the people get their business from word of mouth – but since this is a new and booming business, a lot of people don’t know what Virtual Assistants are and what they do. I just can’t get my foot in the door to help companies understand that since we are our own business that we can save them so much money by not hiring a f-t employee. They are not responsible for benefits, office space and equipment, taxes, etc. We are responsible for all that and those reasons alone can save many small businesses who need help a lot of money.
Anyone have any ideas on how to successfully market my business? I’m running of ideas and becoming frustrated. Failure is NOT an option in my book so I WILL make this work :)
Thanks for listening and any help/advice you can provide.
Cherrie
