Last week, i started with purging wardrobe – no longer holding on to items from years ago!! Donating is great, but when it comes to old footwear, only gently used is acceptable. Maybe those 17 year old leather boots are “in” again
but the straight-leggedness of them reminds me of the Leg Lamp in the movie The Christmas Story. I am a big one for donating clothing and shoes in good condition, but those old boots have been sitting for a loooooong time. Haha, I compacted those old boots as small as possible straight into the garbage bag without wasted time. I don’t remember doing that before but it was a good idea so that I wouldn’t let them take up space in my closet any more. My 15 year old daughter is a recycling nut. She said that those old leather boots are non-recyclable/burnable garbage and not recyclable items like old athletic shoes. I think I did a perfect job …LOL. Do you agree with me?
Good job, very well done!!! I never donate old boots and underwear, that´s stinky old garbage for me. After 17 years it was time to put those old boots out of their misery. Alone the pretty stiff old leather would make me cingle! 17 year old …those boots were definitely garbage.
These boots are 17 years old? They look like they’ve been worn perhaps 3 times…. your taking very good care of them.
I have a similar boot like this. I enjoy wearing boots, they make me feel confident and like I can take over the world.
The leg lamp, “fra-gee-lay“! lol!
I have cool boots, still in the box from two years ago… I’m a card carrying member of shop-o-holic’s anonymous.
Hi Dana!
2 years …think that is OK. But those boots were 17 years old and I have not worn them since halloween 1999 …LOL think those old pull-on boots were more than ready for the big black garbage bag, isn´t it?
