Ladies,
I’m sooooo excited, I just had to share.
Because my weight fluctuates by 7, 8 pounds, if I’m being “bad” on top of it, my scale can show a 10 lbs weight gain in less than a week. This vicious cycle makes me depressed and stressed out, so it was on that very day that I stepped out of my house and went to Rite Aid and was browsing through the “weight loss supplements“, one of them stood out and I bought it, and gilfriends…..I think it works.
No side effect of any sorts, just less cravings and I’m eating less. I think this works….or at least it’s worth a try.
It’s not expensive $19.99 for a month, here is the link to their site you can buy it at any store
http://www.cylarisweightloss.com/
Keep me posted of your success.
Thanks Yana-
I have also been struggling with the weight issue and lately I am hungry all the time! I started using an herbal suppliment this week and so far so good. No cravings, and when I am eating, I am eating better. Thank you for the link. I will try it if what I am using is not consistent.
Doing a little research.. the active ingredient cissus quadrangularis is an ancient Indian herb used to speed bone healing. Because of it’s apparent antagonistic role with glucocorticoid, some believe that it might have an anabolic or andorgenic effect on tissue. (that is, it acts like a testosterone-like hormone to promoting cellular healing.
Glucocortisol is the stress-related hormone that combined with a diet high in simpler carbs and sugars (grain products, alcohol, sweets) creates increased fat production around the mid section.
The leap from healing bones to healing tissues and cells is a bit far. If this is the ingredient’s function, than when you take it, it spend hours when you‘re sleeping trying returning your cells to a healthy condition.
While this might be a positive herb to take to help heal the cellular destructive nature of stress, and while the other active ingredients will help in metabolizing sugars, I see nothing in the list of ingredients that would actively reduce cravings, night-time or otherwise.
So here is the update ladies, and it doesn’t look good…SORRY I spoke to soon.
The supplement works great…however, you loose your 7 -10 lbs., after that you begin to cheat a little here, a little there..the weight doesn’t move. Than you stop taking the supplement and the next thing you know you are eating more and gaining that weight back because it looks like it was water weight after all.
It’s all about calories in and calories out. I saw my OBGYN and found out that I gained 14 lbs in 3 years, WOW 14lbs, so of course I demanded a Thyroid test, today I got the results.
Sitting in my doctors office (I actually went in to get my results) She looked right at me and delivered the sentence:
Your thyroid is fine she said…..
I looked at her with a dumb look on my face, and the only thing I could utter was:
So I’m just fat? that’s all?
After a minute of silence, I’ve added: ” I’m retaining ice cream“.
Since the bitter truth of the weight gain I’ve been following weight watchers core plan, and I have to say it’s pretty easy, and I’m not really hungry. I didn’t loose 7 lbs in the first week, I lost 2, and I think I’ve finally embraced the fact the there is no quick fix.
I read Debra's column Better Ever Year religiously and go to the gym .
Anyone want to join me and report their progress weekly?
Come on ladies if you don’t want to do it for you, do it for me, I need company.
Yana
Ladies:
I am 60 and after years of trying all kinds of products, I have finally accepted the fact that I have to have an exercise program and stick with it. Since exercise can be boring, and I love to dance, I dance twice a week. Then I go to the gym 3 x. The funny thing is, I don’t crave foods as much as I used to, but I have to eat more protein to keep my muscles strong. Anway, I can eat chocolate, have a glass of wine, occasional ice cream, but have to do that exercise.
Good luck to all of you. My weight is staying steady now.
Pauleena
Yana,
Don’t feel bad. I’ve had that same thyroid talk my doctors since my early 40s. (I have a risk of heart disease, so my thyroid is tested every year). I’d also add that one of the first symptoms I experienced of perimenopause starting was weight gain.
And I’ve fallen a bit off the “clean eating” wagon with the result that during a body comp. assessment with my trainer today, I’ve gained almost 5# back, none of it in lean muscle mass.
Anthony’s been out of the gym a lot lately, not pushing my training sessions, so I’m blaming everything on him! Forget that I’ve slipped back into my old eating habits. I’m back to logging my food on FitDay, and increasing my cardio a bit.
Ladies, exercise and portion control is the whole secret!
Thanks for sharing Pauleena, I guess I am going straight to the dance studio! : )
Pauleena, 60? you look fantastic.
Debra, the trainer is trying to keep you on his program…it’s not 5lbs. of fat…it’s probably water…
denial once in a while is a good thing….
but back to FitDay you go girl….and I’m following your lead.
Yana,
thanks for the support. The computer, however, does not lie. There were measurable gains and losses, and a clear conclusion. Believe me, if Anth probably wants to see me succeed more than I do. (he’s trainer/friend and committed to be my trainer for life.)
Yes part of the weight gain was water, but most of it was because I’ve not been eating by my “40 year plan“. FitDay is fired up…
Yana,
There is hope I have found a great weight loss product that is proven to loss body fat but it is a bit more expense but well worth it. It took 7 years to develope and you can watch the video on it at www.maxweightloss.com and if you want to order visit www.comeonmax.com
Sometimes it takes a while to find what is right I will keep you updated of my success.

I hope this can help someone else good luck
I love that everyone is talking about all of this weight loss and supplements etc! I am now taking Alli...and by george does it work! And...just to let you know...heed the warnings...if you eat a fatty diet IT WILL LET YOU (and everyone around you!! But, what I will say is that it does what it says it will do. For every pound you lose naturally with this drug you will lose double. I am proof! I have a ways to go, but am taking it slow. I also have a thyroid condition and have been on thyroid meds for a very very long time. I have to be very careful with any kind of other meds I take. Luckily this is one that does not interfere in any way with my meds or my thyroid. I am very pleased with it. It does say that you need to take a multivitamin. I have been coupling this with FRS which is endorsed by Lance Armstrong! Keep in mind you still have to exercise...this is for anyone whether you need to lose weight or not...exercise helps all body functions...so make sure you keep up with that. It also decreases stress and gives a sense of well being!
Hope this helps!!!
I’ve tried everything too! I finally found something that works for me…might work for you too…

I didn’t have the energy to be at the gym all the time…let alone the time to be at the gym all the time. I have a full time (PLUS) job and a 4 yr old! Nutritional cleansing has helped me improve my health and have that extra energy I needed to get in 3×30 minutes of walking every week. That doesn’t sound like much…but I’m sure some of you have been here…you want to get healthier but life just seems to conspire against you. There are only so many hours in a week.
Now, I don’t stress if I want an ice cream…though that doesn’t happen so much anymore. Nutritional cleansing has made my body a calorie burning machine!!

I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone to “investigate: as well as you. I would really love for you to take a look at something for me and tell me what your thought are. I found some products that I am having great success with and I feel wonderful. If you have the time, please take a look at thinnerstrength.com and let me know what you opinion is on these products. By the way, are you a nutritionist, or dietician? You are so knowledgeable, I was just curious. If you‘re not, you sure have me fooled!
Looks similar to Isagenix (www.isagenixstory.com) but my computer is so slow that the stream keeps getting interrupted! I can’t listen to the whole intro…it just takes too long.
In my opinion – as long as it is NOT damaging to your health- what is important is that it works for you and you can see yourself using that program for the rest of your life.

i agree, I looked at your site. The cleanses look really thorough, sounds great! How do you like the skin care?
When you have a chance, read the info on the products, don’t worry about the intro. It’s our CEO introducing himself and his purpose for starting the company. I’m just really curious about what you think about the ingredients since I see your passion for being natural. Let me know about the skin care in your company.
Thanks
If you are looking for a good supplement, this is a good book to look at to see how your product rates. Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements. There are so many companies and advertising. This gentleman did the research for us. I am using a product that even guarantees in writing! the potency and purity. Even professionals athletes from the Olympic can take it. Regarding the weight…. I started a size 22 now I am a 12, never gained again. I learned to live! I am proud of sharing health with others. Check the ESSENTIALS, cellular base nutrition recipient of the Gold Medal Award and Best of State, besides that last June 2007, the founder received the Albert Einstein Award for the improvement of people’s health around the world!.
... and it is true, with a good supplement you do not crave as much. You all know that with age, our body slows down. It produces less of the growth hormone (HTP) so we do not burn calories as we used to. Check on the properties of COQ10 : )
The best part is that it is not harmful to your cells.
Another place to look to make sure you have a good supplement is Consumer Lab. After all… We have One Body, One Life… Why not give it the BEST care it deserves?
I’ll be happy to share more information with anyone that is interested.
To your continued Health and Success!

Yana,
You made me laugh so hard when you replied “so I’m just fat?” I think we can all relate! After I turned 40 I don’t know what happened. I started to gain weight all around my belly. I always had a flat stomach, even after I had my kids. But after I turned 40 I started to have a pooch and then a roll or 2. I’ve been walking and running every day with my girlfriend, and I’ve noticed some wieght loss especially my legs, they‘re really starting to firm up but not my belly. I know I have to start really watching my diet. I’m gonna start to really cut out my refined carbs and eat leaner. You are absolutely right, they‘re is no quick fix it’s all about eating healthy and get moving.
I have to agree with georgiegirl1…that comment so i’m just fat? just tickled me silly:) I recently had that dreaded visit with the doctor to talk about my health and I was told I have fibrous cysts in my breasts just like my sister and my mother…so no surprise there, that I am over weight and maybe starting to go into menopause! My reply was….“So you‘re telling me I am fat, lumpy and old? I hate you!” We laughed don’t worry my doctor and I are friends but hey….that was a 3 way punch! I am also trying to eat more healthful..more raw fruits and veggies as well as complimentry proteins. It’s hard work when I know there is so much chocolate out there calling to me:) Good luck ladies:)
Cindyb, I have tried several other skin care lines – Arbonne, Sensaria, Mary Kay etc. I have never had as many compliments on my skin as since I started using the Isagenix products. It was really just a whim …“I might as well try that too“...kind of thing.
I like that they don’t have any ‘nasty’ stuff in them like parabens and the like. I have switched all my skin and hair care products to eliminate the potential cancer causing agents.
It is great that not only is the skin care line all natural but it really is making my skin look 10 years younger. The friends who commented on my skin didn’t even know I was using the products!
I will take a look at your site again!

trudys, cool beans, I will go back and look at them again. I have tried just about everything as well. I have the blotchy syndrome and use to SELL Mary Kay. Haven’t found anything yet, but I’ll take another look. Thanks!
Hello Ladies,
Just a update on my weight loss it has been about 2 months of being on MaxWLX and my results are amazing, here is what I have lost so far in inches Bust 1" (now I really didn't want to loss here but it is gone and my shirts fit better) waist 3" WOW I went to put on one of my favorite skirt outfits and the skirt just fell to the floor my daughter couldn't stop laughing and then said well lets go shopping mom I am sure dad will not mine HA HA, hips 4.75" thighs 1.5 inches. The fat just keeps melting away I am down 2 dress sizes. Now I have been able to exercise a little bit in the last 2 weeks so that is a big help. My daughter Kaitie and I are going to Salt Lake City on Sept 24,2008 my goal is to fit into my new bathing suit a size 8 wow I haven't been in single digits since the twins where born that was 18 yrs ago. Now if I can be sucessful at this I believe everyone can to be stuck at an unhealthy weight is hard on the body as I developed diabetes and I was not obese just fat/chubby around the middle my excuse was I will get it one day and loss this extra weight well that one day never came and I paid a dear price with my health, now I feel better and look better still a little chubby in the middle but I have the power to remove that stubbord unwanted fat. If you would like to read up on this product please visit www.comeonmax.com
PS my husband is still ahead of me but I am going to meet my goal sooner I think well that is what I tell him a little competition is good for the soul.
Can’t wait to write when I get back from Salt Lake City will I fit into my bathing suit? only 3 more weeks till take off wish me luck.
Support is #1 with weight loss. I’ve never had to battle this until this year. I could eat all I wanted, was very active and felt great. Surgery is not good for the hips or the metabolism.
I’d love to have a place to share experiences, tips, reaching weight goals and just a place to come say “I didn’t lose a pound…is that ok?“.
I think that it would be great to start a group where we could share our triumphs and defeats. Would anyone like me to start that group?
Yana…I’m retaining ice cream, too. That’s such a GREAT line….

nearly ALL supplements do NOT work in the long run. it’s a band aid. Quick fix…and they often mess up your adrenals and cause weight gain and adrenal fatigue o burnout eventually. If there was a magic pill, no one would have a weight isssue. i am not referring to healthy supplements and vitamins so much as products that are touted as “weight loss” or “fat burner” supplements.
also…inner dialogue…i don’t label my eating as “good” or “bad“...it just IS. I eat very healthful and mindful much of the time. Sometimes I make less than ideal choices such as sugary desserts or too much volume. Either way, I am GOOD. period. When I have a negative self dialogue that shames my behavior, even on a very subtle, subliminal level, it only serves to hurt me, not help me. namaste lisa
lisaconehead, that is the RIGHT attitude! You are right about supplements. I tried them ALL…and had a little success with a few. When I change how I ate in general and got the same attitude as you “i don’t label my eating as “good” or “bad“...it just IS.” I started doing much better.
Now I cleanse on a regular basis and have a high protein/high nutrition shake every morning and not only do I feel GREAT but I just keep losing weight. When you get your body in balance it will start working properly and you can stop counting and weighting everything you eat!

Oh Lisa! You are so right. Weight Loss pills don’t work. Even when someone stops eating most of the day, they just slow down the metabolism and the body gets confused. That is what I say to my group. I have a weight loss support group, that when we meet for the first time, everyones mouths drop. I always tell them that they don’t have to buy what I have, it is YOUR choice. But please, to make sure that they are using a good quality supplement that meets the USP standards and I like to use the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements. They can see and choose. But I ask them to PLEASE!!! choose a good one. One good thing is that the one I use is approved for Olympic athletes in US and Canada. This opened a whole new field for me. Like Trudy, I have been using high protein shakes every morning since 2000 as well as my daughter with fruits. Before that was not all the time, I was not able to find one with excellent taste, since the taste of the one I cosume is sooooo good, we love it! I rather have soy instead of whey since the protein content per ounce is higher. This way you keep your muscle mass. Everyone that comes into my life have done some special diet and then gain the same and some more. They did not learn how to live. Keeping the weight off and staying healthy is a Lifestyle. Eat very healthy most of the time, but still eat pizza when I want it. After working with nutritionists and sport nutritionists for several years you learn a lot of good recipes. The success rate for the persons that have joined my group has been 100% So far no one have gained the weight. Some of them lost it over 2 years ago. This feels good. Now even during the Holidays, many of us LOSE weight instead of Gaining.
I like to stay off preservatives as much as I can. Don’t like artificial sweeteners (if I don’t use raw sugar, I use Stevia), stay away from canned goods, do my best to stay away from white flour, overall I must certaintly try to stay as healthy as possible.
To Health!

Hey Maritza!
Good point on the soy/whey protein. I have personally found I am sensitive to soy hence my choice for whey protein. For many women, soy can mimic estrogens and can increase their PMS and or Menopause symptoms.
Xylitol is also a good alternative to un-natural sweeteners(sucralose etc.) – personally I just use raw sugar or honey or molasses or maple syrup IF I need to sweeten something. Xylitol also help strengthen your teeth!
I love your passion for your product! When you find something you love you just have to shout about it! Its not JUST about the product – if you find a good company who stands behind the product you use that just makes it even better. Integrity is so important.

Hello ladies,
In the search for better health and preventive medicine and seeing my family, my genes, my future, suffering from the common ailments like diabetes Type II, osteoarthritis, high triglycerides, ostopenia, obesity, allergies, asthma, fybromialgia….I found transfer factors from this unique company (www.journey4life.my4life.com) I won’t be 42 years young forever and I already had all kind of allergies, asthma and ostopenia in a hip and my lower spine. I’m in the military (LTC-19 years active duty), so I’ve been active most of my life so I didn’t understand why I had osteopenia at 42. With transfer factors I have already won the battle against allergies and asthma in 1 month of taking the product. Now I’m on my way to battle my ostopenia before it becomes osteoporosis which we all know is irreversible. Join me in my quest to a healthy 50,60,70,80 and beyond, it should be your quest, YOUR health is YOUR responsibility.

osteoporosis IS reversible and I have learned that bone flexibility is actually more important than thickness. I as doagnosed w/ osteoporosis at age 34, and at age 43, they say it is only osteopenia. It has reversed from diet, a regular yoga practice, and good supplements that include Vit D.
Thanks. That is always my first response to see what is in there and can I get this in something I eat or what other forms. I am not really into taking a man’s pill that he has made pretty and taste good for me.
