Paris was my favorite city for many years. Recently after visiting Barcelona I was amazed at the architecture and Gaudi’s touch that’s present every where.

The food is fantastic, the culture is everywhere, and the city has a certain beat.

        • Barcelona sounds great!!! I’ve heard so many fantastic stories about Barcelona and Spain in general but have not had the opportunity to go yet. Regarding architecutre, two cities that impressed me were Dresden in Germany and Prague.

        • I’ve heard fabulous things about Barcelona. I’d love to go there some day and to other Mediterranean countries. Most of my international travel has been to Asia. Bangkok was the place I dreaded the most and ended up being the place I loved the most.

        • Yana,

I am traveling to Barcelona next month. Any tips? I am staying in an apartment in the Borne/Gothic district. I would welcome any suggestions as to where to eat and what to visit.

        • Hi Janna,

I loved Barcelona, you of course need to visit all of the major attractions such as:

La Pedrera – Casa Mila by Antonio Gaudi

           Sagrada Familia

           Picasso Museum

           Miro Museum

          and Gaudi’s famous park.

          Af for food

I can recommend lots of restaurants, but there is one you need to visit, prepare to wait an hour, but I guarantee you it’s worth it. If I know anything about anything, that’s food. This is the BEST tapas in Barcelona and perhaps anywhere else I ever tried. worth the wait
Cerveseria Catalana  tel. 932160368 Mallroca 236  08008 Barcelona

You can have drinks in the hotel across the street while you are waiting.
          Here are few more:

          Cullera deBoix Restaurant  34 93 268 79 82 Ronda St. Pere 24 08010 Barcelona

          El Rovell  93 269 0458 elrovelldelborn.com

Have fun and let me know how you enjoy your trip.

          All the best,
          Yana

        • Yana,

Thanks for the tips. I will definitely take this info with me. I will be staying very close to the Picasso Museum and want to visit there. Good to know about some good restaurants too. I will let you know how it goes.

          Thanks,

          Janna
