I am reading a few very good series books right now, but in between waiting for new releases I dont know what to read? Love all the Dark Hunter books by Sherri Lynn Kenyon and the Rachel Morgan books by Kim Harrison. Another real good newer Fae series is by Karen Marie Moning.

        • I just read a book by Kelly Armstrong, called “No Humans Involved“. It was really good. Not as good as the Rachel Morgan series but easy to read and entertaining.

Have you tried Katy McAllister (she writes both romance and paranormal stuff) and MaryJanice Davidson who is one of my favorites. I’ve also got a new one I haven’t read yet by Jennifer Rardin.

        • I am a big fan of Kelly Armstrongs books. Her prior book series ” Women of the Otherworld” 1 thru 6 are very good. . I will look at Katie McAlister  and Mary Davidson on Amazon, thanks for the referrals.

        • I love funny vampire books.
MaryJanice Davidson’s Betsy series is a hoot!
I too love Kelly Armstrong…be sure and read the installments on her website.  I really liked Clayton’s story.
I used to read Laurell K. Hamilton but it just got too smutty for me.
I love Christopher Moore, but he’s not so romantic…well, some of it is.
I just read the 3rd book of the Morganville Vampires by Racheal Caine. It’s a teen book.
I’m reading New Moon by Stephanie Meyer, the second of the Twilight series. It too is a young adult book.

        • I really loved the Twilight series, even though it was young adult.  My 16 year old neice, “book clubbed” and discussed likes/dislikes.  It was a nice connection point with her.  I just finished reading the anthology “Mysteria” that has MaryJanice Davidson, P.C. Cast, Susan Grant, and Gena Showalter.  The stories were really great, fun, romantic, slightly smutty.  Easy reading, the book came out in 2006 (I checked it out from the library), but the same gals are doing new stories based in that world and it comes out next month!  It is called Mysteria Lane.  I also love the Southern vampire series by Charlaine Harris.  I like the Laurell K. Hamilton books, both the Merry Gentry series and the Anita Blake.  You are right about too much smut, but she toned the last one way down on that.  It will be intersting to see the next Merry book out in November.  I think Christopher Moore books are hilarious.  Really liked Dirty Job.

        • I’ve only read Twilight and got to say it didn’t do that much for me. I really liked the lead character whatever her name is but Edward was just a bit too blah.

I just read a Dakota Cassidy “Accidentally Dead” which was pretty good. I love the anthologies and there are heaps around, though I haven’t heard of Mysteria Lane before. I’ll check it out.

Thanks for all your tips. Who knew I was only getting the tip of the iceberg.

        • I just finished reading a wonderful book by Maggie Shayne Lover’s Bite.  I have read a few others by her, such as the Prince of Twlight, Twilight Illusions, Twilight Phantasies, Twilight Memories to name a few and I have really enjoyed her books. Has anyone else read them?

        • I really like Kay Hooper’s paranormal/suspense/romance series about the FBI agents.

The others mentioned here sound great!

        • I read a good book last night, entitled “The Veiled Truth” by Vivi Anna. It is part of “The Valorian Chronicles“. It was really good. If you enjoy the Nocturne Series you will enjoy this book.

        • I love books about vampires or werewolves.

          I enjoyed the Twilight series.

I have read all of the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake series. The first 9 books I liked but then after that they went down hill with no plot and all sex. And I like sex but it was really badly written sex in my opinion.

I read the Kitty books by Carrie Vaughn and that series started out a little weak but gets better and better each time. I can’t wait for the next one.

I just read 2 books of the Black Dagger of the Brotherhood and they were pretty good. If you want bodice ripping kind of sex then they are pretty good books for that. :)

I have Dark Hunter series on my to-read list.
