The Author of book-made-into-a-movie, “In Her Shoes“, Jennifer Weiner is the most enjoyable author i have read in ages. I began with her first book a few years ago, “Good in Bed” and have read every one of her books since. If you‘re looking for a good read, she’s your girl! I am reading her newest book, “Certain Girls“. I believe she has collaborated on other books in the “Chick-Lit” genre, too.
Jennifer Weiner books:
Good In Bed
In Her Shoes
Goodnight, Nobody
Little Earthquakes
The Guy Not Taken
Certain Girls
Thanks for the list of her other titles! I read the first two books and LOVED them! Great books!
The book “The Guy Not Taken” is a compilation of short stories…not my thing. I like to get attached to a character and follow them for awhile.
“Certain Girls” is the story of Cannie (from “Good in Bed“) and her daughter, Joy…who is now 12 and preparing for her Bat Mitzpha. I wish i’d read this book about 6 years ago when my oldest was 12. I think it’s a VERY accurate account of how your teenager is thinking. It sure explains some of their behavior!
I can’t wait to read Certain Girls!!!!! I have it reserved at the library!
Certain girls is a great book. I got the audio version from the library and listened to it. Other authors that are good are Emily Giffin: Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof and Sophie Kinsella (The Shopaholic books).
Check it out!
Yes, I think so. Sophie Kinsella reminds me a lot of Jennifer. Emily Giffin’s books are good as well.
I love all the authors that were mentioned. I am reading Something Blue by Emily Giffin. She is so good.
