Home Telephone Answering Service

Hello Everyone,

I have had several businesses over the years. I am not interested in opening another shop, so I am thinking about starting my own home telephone answering service. I have been researcing informaton and it is so limited. There are several directions I could go as far as whether to strictly take messages for many companies, or offer services to a couple of businesses acting as a call center in which I would take their messages and answer questions in their absence.

Have you, or anyone you have known provided such services ?
I am looking for more information OR your opinions on such a
service.
