OBAMA A ROLLING STONE

Well, I think it has all been leading up to this moment. It seems that this has been years in the making. He has been a professional candidate and has perfected the skill. He is now one of the best. That’s been his biggest acheivement to date.

So if he wins the presidency, it’ll be the first time he will really have to demonstrate his ability to accomplish promises on an ongoing basis. He will need to focus on the work and not the next step. Then we will really know for sure if he is a doer or just a really good talker.

Sarab, I like how you think and admire even more how you put it on paper.  Well, in this case, the internet.

**I think it is going to be a mess if he gets in the White House..I don’t believe he is ready to lead our country..I think he is trying to surround himself with people he can run to for advice and helping him to do his job..Like Colman Powell for one.. He is way to over confident that he is going to be elected, Promising Powell a high position once he is president..I am very unhappy about his connections with the Middle East. Do a little studding and see for yourself just how many of them are here in our country..Just what if: He gets in there and he calls for an uprising on our own soil..What then..911 will look like a kitchen fire compared to what they could pull on us here..With all our soldiers over there fighting..Our defense is weak..What if they have had this planned for a long time and that’s why he has jumped forward so quickly..So he could be there now..What if this war has continued to keep us blind and busy..I also had someone bring to my attention: Look at all the money he has backing him..I think they should scrutinize each and every donation to back him…I have a feeling if they dig deep and hard some of that backing is coming from over there..Did you know that there were calling sites /centers set up over there with them calling us in the USA to vote for him..Why would the people in the Mid East want to get him in the White House so badly…because he is one of them..People go on about him being African American that should not be an issue…I would hope that we have gotten past all that 1960 raciest mentality.. I think it’s another distraction to keep the focus off the fact he is a follower of the beliefs of the very people we have sent our soldiers over there to fight.. I think it would be an insult to the soldiers who have given their lives over there, the husbands, fathers, brothers, mothers, daughters..All of them that will never come home..Personally I will be very disappointed in America if this guy gets elected…I hope I have not offended anyone..It was not my intension..If it is offensive I will gladly delete it…I would not want any of you wonderful ladies stressing out over this..So please let me know..And if my info is wrong please feel free to set me straight..I hope and pray I am 100% wrong..But what if I am not..Then What…

**Sarab  Yes I agree..And you know I can say honestly that if it were not for the fact that we are at war with the Middle East..I don’t know that it would be an issue still..We are friends with Japan..But do you think putting a Japanese person in the position of the President would go over well? No it would not even be a consideration..

Great post! I have been worried about the same thing…that he is good at looking and sounding good but can he really back up what he is saying he can do?

I personally think that the President of the United States should be a born US Citizen, with a military background, and enough experience to run the country by him/herself if (s)he should be in the situation that, in the time of a dire emergency, just say an atom bomb or major Statewide catastrophy would occur.  He or she should be in a position to make a major decision on their own knowledge and experience.

I believe the “change” that we will experience could very well hurt the American people more than help.  I just see alot of young and/or vulnerable people who are starry eyed and wishing upon a “star” for a quick fix for all the world problems, as it is being promised to them through the Obama campaign.  I think that (like alot of other people) there are too many secrets about this man.  If he can’t be open and honest about his birth certificate, medical and school records, how can he be honest about being associated with people who can harm our country and our society. That being people of Middle Eastern desent who are associated with terrorism against the US, as well as people who hide their prejudice and biased statements and sermons behind closed doors and the power of malicious radical groups and people who start turmoil by frivalous lawsuits and media coverage to stir hatred between different cultures and colors.

I’m not a very political person, and because of the closeness of this Presidential race, I will vote for the first time.  But, I have been watching debates, and reading alot more about the presidential candidates than in prior years.  I’m just not sold on his “changes“, and I can’t say that I’ve heard him specify anything that he’s going to change.

And another thing, I like my guns.  I grew up with guns in my house, and my father, as well as my grandfather, and their fathers hunted.  So does my husband, and I will be starting soon, and taking my daughter with me.  According to one of Obama’s changes, the ban on all guns owned by citizens of the US will not permit me, my daughter, my nephews and their kids to spend the quality time with their family, bonding and learning about nature and how to hunt (for food).  Nor will we be able to protect ourselves in our own homes.

And I hope that I didn’t offend anyone either.  Please correct me if anything I have typed is incorrect.

That’s true about gun control. Gun control only prevents those who are responsible for owning and gun, not those who purchase it illegally. I don’t own a gun, but I totally understand that point.
